*New agency acquisition announcement*
The Entertainment Department Ltd (ted) has today, 9th April 2019, announced plans to acquire LaytonDings Entertainments Ltd (LDE) over a phased period of time.
LDE is a growing agency, led by Marc Layton, who already has a working relationship with ted. The two agency businesses have traded for many years and the new partnership will create greater market synergies. Marc Layton will continue to act as Managing Director of LDE whilst also taking on the role of head of tedtalent in May at the ted headquarters in Milton Keynes.

LDE is an up and coming agency with a growing market share, whilst tedtalent is one of the leading entertainment agencies in the UK, servicing a wide range of clients.

This milestone acquisition is testimony to the forward-thinking approach ted has adopted in the entertainment industry, displaying a dynamic aptitude for new market opportunities.
In 2016, ted set up a separate business, Represented Talent (RT), which is a dedicated artiste management company to provide premium leading talent specifically to cruise, theatre and television. Represented Talent has since flourished and will continue to operate in the premium sector.
This latest acquisition news marks an important fusion of three agency businesses, tedtalent, LDE and RT. Each will continue to trade separately, however together they offer a range of creative and live entertainment product solutions for the industry as a whole.
