Review – Saul by Mark Ritchie
Thornwick and Sea Farm Holiday Centre Flamborough
Summer season 2014

Here we saw a cabaret entertainer at the very top of his game, in front of an adult only cabaret audience Saul’s show combines elements of song and dance in a variety of styles, plus much more.
A quick change routine includes tribute vignettes, or fast-moving impressions of you prefer. Saul’s take on the likes of Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson are both well worth seeing.
However, it is his reproduction of the Robbie Williams pop video routine of the hit song Rock DJ that produced multiple whoops and hollers from the capacity audience. Chiefly i suppose because the well-tones Saul ends up virtually naked, but the titillation of the female members in the audience only mask, or perhaps they add to, the appreciation of the performance skills on show.
